BOGOR May 2019

A few photos and update of the extremely well attended (43 members of the Bogor 1st & 2nd Ward). Among them both Bishops Mongan and Soewignyo in attendance. As well as both Family History consultants. Elder Schmid did the Temple Centered powerpoint "show & tell" slide presentation. Sister Irene Setiadi, the recently called Jakarta Stake Temple & Family History Consultant conducted an amazing 1 1/2 hour group teachning session. The audience just would not let her do a short session. She captivated the audience from moment one. Answered all the questions "fired" at her by Leaders & members from the beginning of her teaching session with skill, flair & lots of humor. There was not one moment wasted in the more than 3 hours. A nothing less than stunning performance! She today & Sister Priscilla Tandiman in Solo/Yokyakarta are a sure sign that Indonesia's "Next Generation" ( 20 - 30 yrs) Family History Consultants are well raised in LDS Families, well educated & nothing less than up to the task to take Family History up to the next level and beyond. "The Future Leaders in Indonesia Family History have accepted the Challenge and have taken the stage without hesitation, incredible Skill, Commitment and Enthusiasm."  I felt that the response to my Motivating all to action and getting things in motion was well received. ( I felt completely comfortable in this setting as much as on the tennis courts for more than fifty years. The fire is still burning inside meπŸ€£πŸ˜‚.  Sister Schmid & I received commitments from Leaders & members( especially personally contacted 20- 30 yr old "Next Generation" members) to create the necessary "Momentum". Especially Sister Schmid made sure that everyone she talked to were ready to get involved. The Presentation was preceded by a wonderful Indonesian style "Lunch in the Garden" πŸ‘πŸ‘. I am sure Indonesia Family History will see some real improvement & Momentum, starting immediately. On Saturday Sister Schmid & I conducted a private & personal 2 hour Family History session with Sister. Mutia Sadiyono, the daughter of Bro. Sadiyono, a Bishopric member of the 2nd Ward. (photos will follow) We received a ride home to Jakarta from Bishop Setiadi who came to pick up his daughter Sister Irene Setiadi. Including in this "Energy Packed" weekend is the for us welcome addition that Sister Schmid & I made many new Eternal friends. Much tired & so  much satisfied, Elder & Sister Schmid.

Elder & Sister Schmid conducted a personal Family History session with Sr. Mutia Sadiyono of more than 2 hrs on Saturday 11 May.
