"Final Stretch of five months of our two year Senior Couple Family History Mission to Indonesia."

On Wednesday 9 January 2019 we were invited to meet with the Asia Area Seventy, Elder Subiantoro. We were anxious and looking forward to this meeting. Elder Subiantoro is from Indonesia. His home is in Indonesia. He resides in Bekasi close to Jakarta. His Area Representative Office is at Jl. Senopati 115. The same location as the Jakarta Indonesia Mission Office & home for the Mission President. He regularly visits countries like Cambodia, Thailand & Hong Kong, among others. As well as SLC.  In attendance, apart from Sister Schmid & Elder Schmid was the recently called by him, Sister Priscilla Tandiman. The Family History & Temple Consultant for Indonesia. Elder Subiantoro is the most friendly & humble servant of The Lord you can imagine. Sister Tandiman, we have come to know ever since we conducted a 4-Generation Family History Presentation earlier this year, is a very well skilled and knowledgeable Family History enthusiast. Including that she speaks, apart from Bahasa Indonesia, fluent English. The meeting was exciting. The Spirit present from the moment it started. He kind of put us on the spot: "I rely on your experience at this stage of your life and from the moment you started your Mission. We received counsel, among others, to encourage members in Indonesia to increase member Temple Recommend holders. The  future of the Family History consulting and training will be an increased effort via electronic & high tech ways. 

We will still travel to mostly close to Jakarta locations like Bandung, Solo, Yokyakarta & Bogor, when Sister Tandiman in consultation with Elder Subiantoro and Brother Bushi in Delhi India decide it is in order & necessary to do so. In the near future we will do our final 4-Generation Power Point Presentation in Bogor. A variety of reasons caused the delay. Brother Jemmy Mongan, the just released Bishop of one of the Bogor Wards is in the final stages of organizing that event in the very near future. He has invited Leaders & Members of the 2 Wards, including 30 - 40 Leaders of other Christian and other religious organizations and churches as well as Genealogy Consultants. 

After some 16 months of visiting, training & improving laying the groundwork and foundations & locations to operate a successful Family History Online (FamilyTree, FamilySearch Set-Up & Program, all involved including Elder Subiantoro, are confident that an increase of Family History activities can be met by confident Ward & Branch Family History Consultants in Indonesia.

We are excited to give it a final "push" to create the necessary Motion leading to the much needed Momentum and maintain that Momentum. The invitation to Leaders & members to increase the amount of Temple Recommend holders will, as a result, complete more Temple Ready names for living family members as well as ancestors anxiously looking forward to get the work done in their behalf. Sister Schmid, myself and many Leaders here are praying to have The Lord announce a Temple to be built in Indonesia. There are many members who cannot afford to make regular trips to the Hong Kong & Manilla, the Philippines' Temples. It would be a righteous desire come true and realization of a dream of all Indonesia members to enjoy their own Temple in Indonesia.

We are ready and eager to use all the energy we have left to make it a successful final stretch of some five months starting now.
